There has been a real influx of these @@@@@s on to what was once a very level headed forum.

If you notice that they have mostly joined quite recently and or have low post counts.

notice later in the thread that the more senior posters are condemning such behavior.

I reckon so. Lynch Beast is right, don't judge them all by the worst few. I even know a couple of West Coast supporters who are mates.. and they are only mildly obnoxious, so obviously there is hope out there.

Hell, we have plenty of idiots right here (and every club does) who do the same thing. Difference is they're "family" so I can say whatever I want about them, other clubs' supporters can't

177th Senior AFL Match - Round 4, 2009 - Sydney vs Carlton, SCG. This is obviously out of date. I suppose I'll update it once I could be bothered sitting down with the fixture and working it out....

Yep. That was pretty obvious I think.

Have to say I'm not a big fan of trolling. And I want to stress I've never actually had a problem with any WC fan I've ever met personally - and I had some great conversations at the "G" during and after the Grand Final....

....but fufuxsake how feral are some of these WC fans? As soon as the Subi showdown was set they were all over us like a bad rash.

I reckon it's born out of fear. Sorta the way children laugh and giggle through horror movies. Let em tremble I say.

We go to Perth each year for Boxing day.

All I want to do this is year is do what I did last year - pop the Swans cap on as soon as my feet touch the ground at Perth and not take it off until I go to bed that night.

I LOVED rubbing it in that day. The funny thing was that there were a few others on my flight that had the same idea. One person got fully decked out. This is on Boxing Day.

Anyway, the sheer 'hostility' of some WA'ers was astounding.
Captain, I am detecting large quantities of win in this sector

Same for Geelong. They are famous for losing the Cup(WC) interstate for the first time back in 1992.

Then they backed up that effort, to lose it again to WC in 1994 (with barely a whimper).

The good thing with WC is, we still have more Premierships than them.

They fear us. We knocked them out of the finals in 04 and beat them in last years GF. We almost always beat them in Sydney and they have only beaten us in Perth the last two occassions by very narrow margins thanks to some very doubtful umpiring. We are their bogey team.

Actually, for most of us, if we had to lose, we'd rather it be to a team that had a long premiership drought. At least someone would be happy, and the Swans fans outside the ground were actually pretty bloody good about it (ie celebrating their win rather than rubbing it in).

I know I for one would have probably supported Sydney against any other team.

Oh, our historic bogey team: Essendon.
